It was built by the merchant and manufacturer C.R. Dahlström. The second tower was built by the Kuopio branch of the Finnish Tourist Association. The brick tower was completed in 1906 and it was demolished in 56 years later because construction work on the current tower began. The illustration of the shirt depicts all of Puijo's towers.
